4th Avenue bridge over Hwy 10 in Anoka closes Tuesday, May 30 for ongoing repair
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The 4th Avenue/Anoka County Road 31 bridge over Highway 10 in Anoka will close to traffic early next week following the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
The bridge will close around 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30 between Pierce Street and Taylor Street.
The bridge, located east of the Rum River on the east end of Anoka, will close to continue repairs on the piers and other structure beneath the roadway. It will remain open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic during the project.
During the bridge closure, traffic will detour using Pierce Street, 7th Avenue, Main Street/County Road 14 and Highway 47/Ferry Street.
At the same time, Highway 10 motorists will encounter weekday lane closures between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. beneath the 4th Avenue bridge. The ramp from 7th Avenue to westbound Highway 10 also will close at the same time daily.
Repairs are expected to be finished and the bridge will reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 30.
