Eden Bridge (Bridge 2110)

Eden Bridge

Design and construction of a two-span, riveted, Warren
pony truss representing the use of the Minnesota
Highway Department's standard plans and exceeding
span lengths for its type.

History & significance

The Eden Bridge is a Warren pony truss constructed in 1918. It carries unpaved County State Aid Highway 8 over the Minnesota River, linking Eden Township in Brown County to Camp Township in Renville County. The Eden Bridge is significant as the state’s longest surviving example of a Warren pony truss that used the widely adopted 1917-1925 Minnesota Highway Department’s standard plan.

The bridge is currently planned for removal and relocation in 2022.
