UPDATE: As roads become passable, no travel advisories will be lifted in southwest Minnesota
WILLMAR, Minn. – (5:55 a.m.) No travel advisories remain in effect for southwest Minnesota, including all or portions of Lac qui Parle, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Yellow Medicine, Renville, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Redwood, Pipestone and Meeker counties.
The weather has improved and Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) crews are clearing roads. As MnDOT ensures that roads are passable for motorists, the no travel advisories will be lifted.
The public can view winter road conditions from plow cameras available through the www.511mn.org website. Please note that not all plows have cameras. Road conditions on major highways can also be viewed through the Road Weather Information System (RWIS), which is also part of 511.
