Coring operations on US Highway 71 in Willmar to reduce traffic to one lane
WILLMAR, Minn. – Southbound travel on US Highway 71 in Willmar between County Road 90 and the US 71/Hwy 23 split will be reduced to one lane Nov. 14-16, weather permitting. The moving-lane closure is required to complete coring operations that will examine the condition of the concrete in preparation for a possible concrete rehabilitation project. The lane closure will be removed at the end of each work day.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
