Utility work on Hwy 23 in Spicer rescheduled

WILLMAR, Minn. – Utility work on Highway 23 in Spicer has been rescheduled. Originally, Charter was scheduled to replace a coaxial aerial cable over Highway 23, just south of the intersection of Highway 23 and Manitoba Street, in Spicer on May 17, 2018. Work has been rescheduled and will now take place on June 5, 2018 from 9:30-11:30 am and/or 2-4 pm, depending on the weather. 

Traffic impacts

  • North bound – left turn lane at intersection of Highway 23 and Manitoba Street will be closed
  • South bound – left lane (east lane) and both south bound lanes will be closed for 15 minute intervals

Motorists should expect long delays (up to 15 minutes) during the work and should consider an alternate route. Work is expected to last one day only.
