MnDOT District 8 lifts several no travel advised locations, some road closures remain in southwest MN

WILLMAR, Minn. – (8:15 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation is lifting the no travel advised for the following roads:

  • Highway 75 (Canby to Madison)
  • Highway 67 (Highway 75 to Highway 19)
  • Highway 59 (Clarkfield to Highway 212)
  • Highway 23 (Hanley Falls to Granite)
  • Highway 274
  • Highway 19 (Vesta to Fairfax)
  • Highway 67 (Redwood to Morgan)
  • Highway 68 Wabasso to Morgan)
  • Highway 71 (Highway 14 to Olivia)
  • Highway 212 (Renville to Glencoe)
  • Highway 15 (Winthrop to Highway 212)

Road closures in southwest MN continue for the following roads in Lincoln County:

  • Highway 271
  • Highway 19 from the MN/SD state line to Ivanhoe
  • Highway 14 from the MN/SD state line to Florence
  • Highway 75 from Pipestone to Ivanhoe

Motorists are advised not to travel until conditions improve and MnDOT reopens the road.  Motorists should plan accordingly. When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or sentenced to 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.
