Hwy 4 projects to be complete Monday, June 5

WILLMAR, Minn. — Both the Highway 4 bridge replacement project and the Highway 4 resurfacing project is scheduled to be complete by mid-day Monday, June 5. The detour on Highway 4 south and north of Cosmos will be removed and the road will be opened to traffic.

The Highway 4 resurfacing project included the resurfacing of Highway 4 from 220th Street to south of the railroad tracks in Grove City. Permanent striping south of Grove City will happen the week of June 5 under traffic. The project started April 24. The cost of the project was $1.6 million.

The Highway 4 bridge replacement project began May 3 and included the replacement of two large box culverts north and south of Cosmos. The cost of the project was $1.2 million.
Knife River was the contractor on both projects.
