Hwy 22 project south of Litchfield complete

WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 22 project south of Litchfield is complete.  The detour will be removed and the road will be opened to motorists by noon today, June 27.

The project included the resurfacing of Highway 22 near Cedar Mills to the southern limits of Litchfield as well as the replacement of culverts and the construction of turning lanes. 

Motorists can expect a smoother road surface, improved drainage and increased safety and mobility for motorists.  The cost of the project was $5.2 million dollars.  Knife River was the contractor on the project.
