First open house scheduled for Highway 23 New London safety assessment

WILLMAR, Minn. –   Area residents, business owners and others are invited to attend an open house on Thursday, May 4 to learn about the Highway 23 New London safety assessment.

The open house will be held from 5 to 7 pm at Peace Lutheran Church (100 4th Ave. SW) in New London.

Attendees will be able to ask questions about the safety assessment and give feedback.  There will be no formal presentation.

Individuals not able to make the open house are encouraged to visit the web site at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/d8/projects/hwy23nlsafetyassessment/index.html to learn more about the project. 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and its partners, the City of New London, Kandiyohi County and New London Township are conducting a safety assessment to evaluate the current and future performance of Highway 23 and develop short and long term strategies to manage the corridor now and in the future.
