Hwy 99 St. Peter to Le Center resurfacing starts Aug. 7
MANKATO, Minn. — Motorists are advised of brief delays and lane restrictions on Highway 99 from St. Peter to Le Center beginning, Aug. 7 as crews resurface the roadway.
The project, expected to be complete in September, consists of milling off the old surface and applying an asphalt overlay to provide a smoother, safer ride for motorists.
Additional work on Highway 99 planned for 2019 includes culvert improvements, large culvert replacement in Cleveland for Cherry Creek, turn lane construction, pedestrian ramps in Cleveland and lighting at county intersections. This work will be coordinated with the overlay of Highway 99 from Highway 13 to Highway 21.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the work zone and watch for workers, equipment and traffic control devices.
Southern Minnesota Construction of Mankato was awarded the project with a bid of $2,673,879.
