Public open house set Oct. 17 for Hwy 61 intersection safety project in Winona
WINONA, Minn. — The public is invited to attend an information open house on Thursday, Oct. 17 in Winona to learn about an intersection safety project on Hwy 61 in Winona planned for 2020, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Representatives of MnDOT and others will be available to answer questions and provide information from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at National Guard Armory, 1303 Homer Rd, in Winona.
During the session, MnDOT will discuss the plan for 2020. People may drop by at any time during the session. Maps and information will be available for review.
MnDOT will be constructing a safety project at the Hwy 61 and Sugar Loaf View intersection in Winona. As part of this project, MnDOT, in partnership with the city of Winona, will be modifying the access to reduce crashes at the intersection.
