Open house set May 2 in Zumbro Falls for Hwy 60 paving project
ZUMBRO FALLS, Minn. – The public is invited to an open house on Thursday, May 2 in Zumbro Falls to learn more about the Highway 60 paving and culvert replacement project that begins May 20, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Rochester Sand and Gravel, a MnDOT contractor, will be resurfacing Highway 60 between Zumbro Falls and Wabasha from May 20 to Sept. 20.
Representatives of the contractor and MnDOT will be available to answer questions and provide information from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Zumbro Falls City Hall, on Highway 60.
The contractor will be repaving approximately 24 miles of Highway 60 between Zumbro Falls and Wabasha. Crews will also replace several culverts along highways. Motorists will encounter detours during culvert replacement work from May 20 to June 28 and lane restrictions will be in place during paving work during the remainder of the project.
During the May 2 open house, people may drop by at any time during the session to talk with the contractor and MnDOT staff, learn more about the projects and ask questions. There is no formal presentation. Maps and information will be available for review.
