Interstate 35 concrete paving project completed near Faribault

FARIBAULT, Minn. – Concrete paving of Interstate 35 from Rice County Road 9 to Highway 21 near Faribault has been completed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

During this $8 million project, crews with Shafer Contracting Co., Inc., of Shafer, Minn., paved approximately four miles of southbound I-35 with an unbonded concrete overlay. Crews also repaved the Highway 21 exit ramp, extended the deceleration land off southbound I-35 to Highway 21 and repaired several culverts along I-35.
