Open house Sept. 19 in Homer for Hwy 61 paving project in 2019
HOMER, Minn. – The public is invited to an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 19 in Homer to learn more about the improvements planned for Highway 61 during a paving project in 2019 from Homer to Interstate 90, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Representatives of MnDOT will be available to answer questions and provide information from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Homer Town Hall, 36087 Old Homer Road in Homer.
MnDOT is scheduled in 2019 to repave Highway 61 between Homer and I-90 with blacktop. Crews will also repave the frontage roads, repair culverts and replace guardrail. Motorists will encounter single-lane traffic and brief closures of intersections during the paving operation.
During the Sept. 19 open house, people may drop by at any time during the session to talk with the project manager and other MnDOT staff, learn more about the project and ask questions. There is no formal presentation. Maps and information will be available for review.
