Bike trail temporarily closed at I-90 Dresbach Welcome Center for grading work
DRESBACH, Minn. – The bicycle trail south from the Dresbach Welcome Center will be temporarily closed July 30-Aug. 1 for crews to do grading work behind a retaining wall, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The three-day trail closure is necessary for the safety of bicyclists while crews and equipment wok adjacent to the trail and sometimes on the trail.
The grading work is being done to improve drainage.
The Dresbach Bridge project included the construction of a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstruction of the Highway 61/14 and I-90 interchange. The $187.5 million project began in late 2012 and was completed in early November 2016.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
