Open house July 24 in Chatfield for Hwy 52 paving project in 2019

CHATFIELD, Minn. — The public is invited to an open house on Tuesday, July 24, in Chatfield to learn more about the improvements planned for Hwy 52 during its paving project in 2019 from Marion through Chatfield, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Representatives of MnDOT will be available to answer questions and provide information from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chatfield City Hall city council chambers, 21 Second St. SE in Chatfield.

MnDOT is scheduled in 2019 to repave, replace culverts and make improvements along Hwy 52 from Marion through Chatfield. In Chatfield, crews will make sidewalk and pedestrian ramp accessibility improvements and replace traffic signals. There will be detours at times during the project while culverts are replaced along the road.

During the July 24 open house, people may drop by at any time during the session to learn more about the project, offer feedback, and ask questions. Maps and information will be available for review.

To learn more about the project or sign up for email updates, go to MnDOT’s project website at mndot.gov/d6/projects/hwy52-marion-chatfield.
