Open house set April 30 to learn about Hwy 19 bridge project near Cannon Falls
CANNON FALLS, Minn. – The public is invited to an open house Monday, April 30 in Cannon Falls to learn more about a construction project to rehabilitate a bridge on Hwy 19 west of Cannon Falls this summer, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Members of the MnDOT team and the prime contractor PCiRoads of St. Michael, Minn. will be available to answer questions 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Cannon Falls City Hall, 918 River Road, in Cannon Falls. People may drop by at any time during the session to ask questions, learn more about the project’s timelines and learn how to stay connected. No formal presentation is planned.
The bridge being rehabilitated is located on Hwy 19 about 3.5 miles west of Hwy 52. Construction work will begin May 7. The project is scheduled to be completed on June 29. During the project, Hwy 19 traffic will be detoured. A detour map is available on the project website: mndot.gov/d6/projects/hwy19-bridge-replacement/.
