Open house set April 25 to learn about Hwy 42 roundabout near Eyota

EYOTA, Minn. – The public is invited to an open house Wednesday, April 25 in Eyota to learn more about the construction this summer of a roundabout at Highway 42 and Olmsted County Road 9 north of Eyota, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Members of the MnDOT team will be available to answer questions 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Eyota Volunteer Ambulance Station, 753 Robert Ave. SW, in Eyota. People may drop by at any time during the session to ask questions, learn more about the project’s timelines and learn how to stay connected. No formal presentation is planned.

The roundabout is a joint project with MnDOT and Olmsted County. Beginning May 7, Chippewa Concrete Services, Inc. of Chippewa Falls, Wis., will be constructing a roundabout at Highway 42 and County 9. During the project, traffic at Highway 42 and County 9 will be detoured. The project is scheduled to be completed in early July.
