Brush, small tree removal planned along Hwy 61, Lake Pepin in Lake City
LAKE CITY, Minn. – Work crews will be conducting small diameter tree and brush removal within Minnesota Department of Transportation right of way along Highway 61 adjacent to Lake Pepin in Lake City, according to Mnd DOT.
MnDOT issued a permit Nov. 20 for the work to be done within highway right of way. The right of way will be used to access the location. Work will be completed without disruptions to through traffic. The work is anticipated to be weather dependent and will take 2-3 weeks to be completed prior to April 30, 2018.
Similar work has been performed in 2006 and 2009. Work will be done per Lake City Public Works contract. It will be performed per City Shoreland Ordinance and has also be subject to other governmental agency review.
