Hwy 30 reopened west of Chatfield after culvert replacement completed
CHATFIELD, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has lifted the Highway 30 detour west of Chatfield.
MnDOT crews were replacing a culvert east of Cummingsville and completed the work on Thursday, Oct. 5.
The stretch of road where the culvert was replaced has gravel on the surface for now, but will be paved later this month. Signs alert drivers to the rough road in that area. The highway sees an average of 1,100 vehicles per day.
Separate work on Hwy 30 to repair and maintain culverts continues. Motorists should alert for work crews on the road between Stewartville and Rushford. That work will be along the road shoulders and should be completed in mid-November.
Motorists can learn more about this separate project at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/d6/newsrels/17/09/22hwy30.html.
