Hwy 52 Rochester bridge maintenance work could cause traffic delays Aug. 27
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists using two Rochester Highway 52 interchanges on Sunday, Aug. 27 will find traffic restrictions at 19th Street Northwest and Second Street Southwest as bridge joint repair and crack sealing work takes place, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Traffic delays are likely for motorists using the ramps or crossing over Hwy 52 at the two interchanges. Single lane traffic in both directions will be used as crews perform maintenance work to repair bridge joints and seal cracks on the driving surface. The work is expected to last most of the day. To avoid delays, motorists should choose alternate routes.
If weather is not conducive for the work on Sunday, Aug. 23, crews will try again on Sunday, Sept. 10.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
