Hwy 14 signals adjusted at Byron intersections for heavy equipment transport

BYRON, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 14 at two Byron intersections will see the left turn signal on the signal arms tilted inward Monday and Tuesday during daytime hours to allow for the transport of high profile equipment, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Left turn signals are still functioning. Motorists should look for the left turn signals located in the left corners at the two Byron intersections on Hwy 14. The left turn signals on the arms will be shifted back Monday afternoon and again Tuesday afternoon after the work is completed.

The slower moving equipment transport is expected to take one trip on Monday and four trips on Tuesday from Dodge Center to Rochester. The adjustment of the turn signal arms is to allow the high profile equipment to pass through without hitting the signal arms.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
