Lane closures planned for Hwys 44, 16 in Hokah, La Crescent for road project
HOKAH, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 44 in Hokah and Highway 16 near La Crescent will encounter lane and shoulder closures beginning May 8 as road improvement work begins, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
On May 8, ADA work on sidewalks and ramps in Hokah and culvert and storm sewer repairs around La Crescent will begin. Shoulder and lane closures will occur through this work, which is expected to take place in May.
Road resurfacing work is planned for June and MnDOT will provide updates in advance as the project continues. Mathy Construction is the prime contractor on this $2.4 million project.
