ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public is invited to attend a public information open house Feb. 22 at Kenyon City Hall to learn more about the replacement of two Highway 56 bridges this summer, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The open house is from 4:30-6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22 in Kenyon City Hall, 709 Second Street.

The public can learn about the plans, timelines, traffic management and other information for the project that is scheduled to begin May 1 and be completed by mid-October.

Two bridges are scheduled to be replaced. A Highway 56 bridge over the North Fork of the Zumbro River near Kenyon will be replaced, as will a bridge over Prairie Creek near Stanton.

Motorists should always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
