Public meeting postponed for Hwy 52 interchange construction in Cannon Falls
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public information meeting in Cannon Falls scheduled for tonight, Jan. 25 has been postponed until Feb. 1 because of the snow storm that hit the region, dumping approximately 8 inches of snow.
The meeting is for people to learn about a project to repair and improve the Hwy 52 interchange at Goodhue County Road 24 in May, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Officials from MnDOT will be on hand Wednesday, to talk about the project, its timelines and traffic changes when construction crews repair a roundabout on the east side of the interchange and make improvements to the roadway. Construction work is expected to take place in May.
The meeting is scheduled from 5-6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the Cannon Falls City Council chambers, 918 River Road. A short Information presentation will take place at 5 p.m. and then attendees can ask questions. The format is open house style, so attendees can leave at any time.
