Temporary detour of Hwy 108 in Dent today for emergency railroad repairs
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (12:55 p.m.)—Starting as early as 1 p.m. today, motorists will encounter a temporary detour of Highway 108 in Dent, as railroad crews complete emergency repairs. Traffic will be rerouted to County Roads 85 and 35 north of Dent until Friday evening.
Local traffic will be able to access Highway 108 during this work, but the roadway will be closed and impassable at the railroad crossing, so traffic coming from the east will need to use the detour route to get into town. Thru-traffic must follow the detour.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
