Lane closure on Highway 87 near Toad River to remain in place until January
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — The lane closure for the artesian well-sealing project on Highway 87 near the Toad River will remain in place until January, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Highway 87 is reduced to one lane for approximately 200 feet. Motorists are urged to obey the stop and take-turn signs and travel with caution, as heavy equipment is staged in the ditch.
Crews have been on Highway 87 since the end of October as part of an effort to seal an artesian well that’s located on MnDOT right of way. The repairs are necessary ahead of the 2021 project on Highway 87.
