MnDOT hosts open house for proposed Hwy 29 Overpass project
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host an open house on Thursday, November 14, from 4 to 7 p.m., to present a revised layout showing a roundabout that was added to Highway 55 at 160th Street for the proposed overpass project on Highway 29 just north of Glenwood. The open house will be held in the first floor Community Room at the Pope County Courthouse in Glenwood.
The proposed overpass would eliminate an “at grade” crossing with the Canadian Pacific railway system and improve safety and congestion issues.
At the open house, the public can review maps and visual displays of the preliminary Highway 29 Overpass design, and the project team will be available to answer questions and explain design components in detail.
