Temporary closure of Hwy 9 between Doran and Nashua scheduled to begin October 28 for railroad repairs
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Hwy 9 will encounter a road closure between Doran and Hwy 55 near Nashua starting Monday, Oct. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 31, weather permitting. The road will be closed as railroad crews replace the railroad diamond just north of the Hwy 9/Hwy 55 intersection near Nashua.
Traffic will be detoured to Hwy 75 and Hwy 55. Local access will be maintained on Hwy 9, but the road will be impassable at the railroad crossing.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
