DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Replacement of the lighting system at the Red River Weigh Station on Interstate 94 in Moorhead will begin the week of June 4.

Crews from Design Electric, of St. Cloud, will be on site for approximately three weeks as they remove and replace the existing lighting system.

The lighting replacement project costs $387,969.

Weigh stations are an important part of Minnesota’s truck size and weight enforcement efforts, and are a partnership between MnDOT and the Minnesota State Patrol. MnDOT owns and maintains the facilities. The State Patrol’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division operates them.
