Hwys 34, 87 culvert work begins week of Aug. 21
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 34 east of Detroit Lakes and Highway 87 east of Frazee will encounter intermittent delays and a detour when culvert work begins the week of Aug. 21.
Crews will replace two culverts on Highway 34—one near Snellman and one near Osage. The work on Highway 34 will require lane closures and motorists may encounter intermittent delays where crews are working.
When work moves to Highway 87 the week of Aug. 28, traffic will be detoured east of Frazee. Signs will direct traffic to Highway 10, County Road 60 and County Road 51/County Road 33. The detour is scheduled to be removed prior to Labor Day weekend.
A second culvert on Highway 87 near Evergreen will be replaced with lane closures.
The culvert work will result in improved drainage along Highway 34 and Highway 87.
