I-94 Red River bridge work begins July 31
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — A painting and maintenance project on the I-94 Red River bridge between Moorhead and Fargo, N.D., is set to begin Mon, July 31.
Traffic impacts to drivers on I-94 will be limited to shoulder closures and possible lane closures during off-peak hours.
Most of the work will be completed on the underside of the bridge.
When crews begin work near the Brookdale underpass in Moorhead, the city street will close. Additional notice will be provided prior to the any closure.
Rainbow, Inc., of New Hope is the prime contractor for the $800,000 project, which is funded jointly by the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
The project will help preserve the bridge so it continues to serve motorists for many years.
