Benson paving project begins July 17
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Motorists on Hwy 9, Hwy 12 and Hwy 29 in Benson will encounter intermittent lane closures and delays starting July 17 when crews mill and pave the highways. Some preparatory work may begin prior to July 17.
Once work begins, flaggers will direct traffic around the work zone. Motorists must follow the direction of the flaggers and should expect extra congestion.
The work is expected to last through mid-August.
The project will result in a smoother road surface throughout the city.
Interested residents and business owners are encouraged to sign up for regular email updates through the project website, www.mndot.gov/d4/projects/benson/.
