Hwy 219 detour north of Goodridge begins May 30

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 219 will encounter a detour north of Goodridge beginning Tuesday, May 30 for a project to replace four bridges.

The detour follows Highway 1, Pennington County Road 28/Marshall County Road 54 and Highway 89.

The bridges are located along Highway 219 near the intersections of 200th, 240th, 260th, and 270th Streets NE. The entire intersection may be closed while crews operate at each location, but no more than two locations will be closed at the same time. The contractor will also keep at least one of the intersections at 260th and 270th Street open as well.

Gladen Construction is the contractor for the $1.61 million project. It is expected to last until mid-July, weather permitting.
