Open house for Hwy 2 project in Deer River set for May 22

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The public is invited to attend an informational meeting on Monday, May 22, to learn more about this summer’s Highway 2 project in Deer River.

The open house will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Deer River High School, 100 1st Ave. NE.

The meeting will be held as an open house with no formal presentation and everyone is welcome to come when convenient. Representatives of the project team will be on hand to discuss the project and answer questions.

Work is scheduled to begin in early June and run through late August. The reconstruction project includes sewer and water replacements, road resurfacing, sidewalk/pedestrian ramp upgrades, signal system improvements and lighting work between 1st Street NE and 5th Street SE.
