Lanes will shift within the work zone between Simonet Dr. and Jackson Ave. to reconstruct the concrete pavement. Expect reduced speeds, lane shifts and access changes.

  • Nightwork only: Both directions reduced to one-lane of traffic between sunset and sunrise to replace pipes beneath eastbound. All lanes return by sunrise

Prepare work zone: construct temporary median crossovers; work along shoulder

May: Complete

Eastbound reduced to one-lane of traffic

Prepare eastbound lanes for next traffic stage

June - August: Complete

All lanes on east side of road: eastbound one-lane of traffic; westbound open to two lanes of traffic

Reconstruct westbound

August - Sept. 24: Complete

All westbound lanes open on new road

Eastbound remains one-lane of traffic

Reconstruct eastbound median and travel lanes

Sept. 24-Oct. 26 Eastbound remains one lane of traffic on new road surface Reconstruct eastbound shoulder and right turn-lane; then finish work along the project

Finish work along the project and install the new signal systems (poles on back-order) and monitor at Upland and Proctor Ave.

Work Zone Safety

Pay attention. The work zone will be busy. Here's what to expect:

  • Motorist access closures with signed detours
  • Workers and equipment along the entire work zone
  • Use of concrete barrier, orange barrels and road signs
  • Slow or stopped traffic at peak times
  • Reduced speed limit with law enforcement on site
  • Pedestrian access closures with signed detours
