Meire Grove motorists invited to learn details about 2021 Highway 4 project at open house May 8
ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The Meire Grove community and all Highway 4 motorists are invited to an informal open house to learn about plans for a project to reconstruct Highway 4 through Meire Grove in 2021. The project requires Highway 4 to close for several weeks.
The public open house will be held Wednesday, May 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Meire Grove city hall, 50 Highway 4.
Open house attendees will be able to view layouts of the proposed plan and have questions answered by MnDOT staff developing the project. MnDOT staff will also be on hand to explain the right of way acquisition process.
The project as proposed will reconstruct about one mile of Highway 4 between Second Avenue N and Second Avenue S. Other proposed improvements include new sidewalk, and improved pedestrian crossings and truck turning radiuses. When complete, the project will provide a smoother ride, and improve drainage and accessibility in the area.
