Public invited to learn about 2019 Hwy 210 Brainerd-to-Ironton project at open house Aug. 28

BAXTER, Minn. – Businesses, motorists and residents who use Highway 210 between Brainerd and Ironton are invited to attend an open house to learn about a 2019 Highway 210 construction project that will require a detour.

The open house will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Crow Wing County Highway Department facility, 16589 County Road 142, located just west of Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport. A presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m., and will be followed by a question and answer session. Those unable to attend the presentation are encouraged to stop in any time before 7 p.m.

Open house attendees will be able to learn about the project, work to be performed, tentative traffic plans including the proposed detour, and provide feedback to MnDOT staff working to finalize the project.

The project is scheduled for the 2019 construction season and will reconstruct Highway 210 between Pine Shore Road in Brainerd, and the west side of Ironton. The project will also repair or replace underground pipes; add left turn lanes at County Road 25, County Road 147 near the Crow Wing County landfill, and County Road 59; and add bypass lanes at the Mississippi Northwoods entrance and Sploezens Road.
