MnDOT seeks feedback on plans for Hwy 210 Crosby-Ironton project at open house May 9

BAXTER, Minn. – Crosby and Ironton area residents, businesses and motorists are encouraged to provide feedback on plans for a major project on Highway 210 through Crosby and Ironton at an open house May 9 in Crosby.

The public open house will be held Wednesday, May 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Crosby-Ironton High School, 711 Poplar St.

Open house attendees will be able to learn about and comment on the proposed project’s design, schedule, work to be performed, detour and traffic plans, and take home project information. A project layout will be on display, and MnDOT staff will be available to answer any questions. No presentation is planned, and guests are invited to arrive any time.

The project as proposed will resurface and reconstruct two miles of Highway 210 between Seventh Avenue in Ironton and .2 miles east of Third Ave NE in Crosby, reconstruct or repair sidewalks, repair or install new curb and gutter, upgrade signs and overhead lights, and make other improvements while lanes and road segments are closed.

Design for the project is underway, with construction scheduled for 2021.
