WORK COMPLETE: Hwy 6 in Emily reduced to single lane May 8

BAXTER, Minn. – Motorists who travel Highway 6 in Emily may encounter daytime delays while crews resurface a short segment of the roadway between Lake Street and County Road 1 on Monday, May 8.

The lane closures will begin after 7 a.m. and be complete before sunset the same day. Flaggers will allow one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone while crews complete their work. Motorists approaching the work zone should be prepared to slow down and stop, obey the flaggers, and move over for crews and equipment while navigating the work zone.

The project will preserve the roadway until a larger project to reconstruct Highway 6 through Emily begins in 2018.
