Expect roadwork when traveling on Highway 210 in Crosby-Ironton between 1st St. N in Crosby and 7th Ave SW in Ironton. Select image, PDF

Expect roadwork with lane closures, parking closures, sidewalk closures or road segments closed and signed detours in west Crosby and Ironton through June.

Work zone is changing quickly as crews finish and start work in areas of Hwy 210. Follow construction signs and watch for changes, crews and equipment. These detours will be used to complete underground work between 1st St. N in Crosby and west of 6th Ave SW in Ironton:  

Hwy 210 detours

  • Downtown Crosby for intersection work uses Cross Ave. S and 2nd St. SW, along Crosby Memorial Park, at Serpent Lake. Detour map, PDF
  • Crosby-Ironton detour for pipe work uses Irene Ave./ Co. Rd. 30 in Ironton and Co. Rd. 33/3rd St. S in Crosby. Detour map, PDF
  • Truck detour for through traffic via Crow Wing Co. Rd. 12 (Deerwood shortcut) between Brainerd/Riverton and Deerwood. Detour map, PDF

Hwy 6 detours

  • Deerwood to north Crosby use Co. Rd. 31 and Co. Rd. 30. Detour map, PDF

  • Note: Hwy 6 open to local traffic between Crow Wing Co. Rd. 31 and Crosby, including the Croft Mine and Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.

Crosby-Ironton open for business

While some segments of Hwy 210 will be close and detour, or reduced to a single lane at times, all businesses and residences will be maintained and open, however expect changes.

About this 2021 project

Summary of work

  • Reconstruct from 2nd St. SW to east of 3rd Ave. NE in Crosby, includes new road surface, side street connections, curbs/gutters and sidewalks
  • Resurface from 2nd St. SW in Crosby to west of 6th Ave. SW in Ironton, includes other repairs as needed
  • Improve pedestrian accessibility, includes sidewalks and approach ramps
  • Replace overhead street lights
  • Repair or replace drainage
