Surface repair on Highway 175 west of Hallock begins September 13

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Motorists on Highway 175 west of Hallock can expect a detour as crews begin a surface repair project September 13. The short term detour is expected to last about five days and is expected to be complete by September 19, weather permitting. Motorists will detour onto Highway 75 using Highways 11 and 171.

The road was damaged by spring flooding in May. Crews then conducted temporary repairs with gravel until the permanent fix could be completed. The current work will include repaving in order to provide a smoother road surface as well as improved safety for motorists.
