Duluth, Minn. – The annual Grandma’s marathon is scheduled Saturday, June 16. It is one of Duluth’s biggest events, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The Minnesota Department of transportation expects heavy traffic levels on Interstate 35 in the days prior-to and after marathon events, which officially begin Thursday.
On I-35 from the South Pune County Line to the Snake River in Pine City
Traffic is restricted to a single lane in each direction and northbound ramps at Highway 7 are closed. Highway ramp traffic is being detoured onto the northbound I-35 ramps at highway 70 and Highway 11. Backups are expected.
