Hwy 38 improvement project begins May 29 in Grand Rapids
DULUTH, Minn. —The Minnesota Department of Transportation is beginning an improvement project Tuesday, May 29 on Hwy 38 in Grand Rapids. Motorists will encounter daytime flagging operations, lane shifts and center left turn lane closures on Highway 38 from the intersections of 5th Street N.W. through 14th Street N.W. Pedestrians will be detoured along adjacent city street sidewalks.
Sidewalk and pedestrian access improvements will be completed in late June. Resurfacing improvements will begin on Highway 38 between 4th Street N.W. and 17th Street N.W. near the end of July.
The project is expected to be completed in early August 2018.
