Changes to STS requirements
On August 1, 2020, additional requirements affecting Special Transportation Service providers (STS) went into effect:
- STS providers will be required to keep records of dates, times, and the driver’s names for specific trips they’ve made. These records will need to be made available upon request.
- STS Trip Record Form (PDF)
- We may not issue a certificate of compliance if an STS provider has not completed a background study, or if a study deems a carrier ineligible to provide service, as required by law. We may also suspend a provider's authority if employees required to have a background study are not on the provider's NETStudy 2.0 roster.
- We may suspend a provider’s authority for failure to pay for vehicle inspection decals.
