This weekend's major traffic impacts (July 3 through July 5)

Many of you will be traveling across Minnesota to celebrate Independence Day weekend so this weekend we're including information about some of the major roadwork projects across the state.

Hwy 5 in St. Paul

Hwy 5 between just north of Hwy 55 and Wordsworth Avenue has many closures in the area.

Hwy 5 between Waconia and Victoria

Hwy 5 between East Scandia Road near Waconia and County Road 11 in Victoria is closed until Sept. 3.

Hwy 10 in Ramsey

Hwy 10 near Armstrong Boulevard (Anoka County Road 83) in Ramsey may have congestion related delays through late October while Armstrong Boulevard is closed north of Hwy 10.

Hwy 13 between Mendota and Lilydale

Hwy 13 closed between Second Street and Lexington Avenue in Mendota and Lilydale. Follow the detour using Hwy 110 and I-35E.

I-35E in St. Paul and Little Canada

There are many lane and ramp closures in the area. Visit the I-35E Corridors Projects website for more information.

Hwy 51/ Snelling Avenue in St. Paul- Hamline Midway

Snelling Avenue between I-94 and University Avenue is closed through mid-July. The Snelling Avenue bridge spanning I-94 is closed through Aug. 22. There are many other closures in the area. Visit the Hwy 51/Snelling Avenue project website for all of the details.

Hwy 169 in Jordan

Hwy 169 between Hwy 21 and Hwy 282 is reduced to a single lane with a speed limit of 45 mph through late October.

Central Minnesota

I-94 between Rogers and St. Michael

Speeds are reduced and you can expect delays as lanes are shifted and narrowed.

Hwy 169 along the south shore of Lake Mille Lacs

Expect delays. Bypass lanes are in place.

West Central Minnesota

Hwy 12 between Atwater and Litchfield

Traffic will be detoured.

Hwy 12 between Kerkhoven and Pennock

Traffic will be detoured.

Northern Minnesota

Hwy 2 between Cass Lake and Ball Club

Expect delays and drive carefully as lanes shift and people holding flags may be directing traffic.

Hwy 2 (Bon Bridge) between Duluth and Superior

Eastbound traffic will be detoured.

Hwy 10 in Detroit Lakes

Expect delays as traffic will be single lane.

Hwy 23 between Duluth and Duquette

Traffic will be single lane and may be detoured.

Hwy 61 south of Grand Marais

Traffic will be single lane.

Hwy 70 east of I-35

Traffic will be detoured.

Southern Minnesota

I-35 between Owatonna and Albert Lea

Expect delays as traffic will be single lane.

Hwy 59 in Marshall

Traffic will be detoured.

I-90 between St. Charles and Eyota

Expect delays. Traffic will be single lane.

I-90 near Alden, Jackson and between Adrian and Rushmore

Speeds are reduced in the area. Traffic will travel on two lanes and will use crossovers, but some ramps in the area will be closed.
