Mn/DOT has Public Utilities Commission Representatives in each District including a main Representative in Central Office. These Representatives have been selected to be the voice of the Utility Permits section when proposed projects from Utility companies affect Mn/DOT’s Right-of-Way.

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC)
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission regulates three cornerstone service industries in Minnesota's economy, i.e., electricity, natural gas and telephone. It is the Commission's responsibility to ensure that vendors of these services provide safe, adequate, and reliable service at fair, reasonable rates (Minnesota Statutes Chapters 216A, 216B, 216E, 216F, 216G and 237 apply to the PUC).
