95th Avenue Park & Ride in Blaine

Project description

A 550-space ramp is being constructed to expand the current 95th Avenue Park & Ride lot. This is one of many transportation projects funded by the Urban Partnership Agreement, a collaboration of federal, state and local entities working to improve traffic by reducing congestion on Interstate 35W, Highway 77/Cedar Avenue and in downtown Minneapolis.

Background

The current Park & Ride at this location is near capacity with 96 percent of spaces occupied in October 2008. Using UPA funding, Metro Transit purchased adjacent land north of the existing site.
