Data collected from continuous traffic counting sites located on interstates, US routes, and Minnesota routes throughout the state. These sites collect data on vehicle volume, class, speed and weight.

ATR and WIM equipment is installed on selected sections of interstate, state and county highways, and municipal state aid streets throughout the state. All stations produce vehicle volume data; however, ATR and WIM stations collect different types of data depending upon their equipment and sensors. ATR stations equipped with multiple axle sensors per lane collect vehicle classification data to distinguish between motorcycles, cars, and trucks. In addition to the data ATRs collect, WIM stations gather approximate axle weights. Consequently, such data can be aggregated to report vehicle, vehicle classification, and weight characteristics.
MnDOT's Traffic Forecast and Analysis Unit provides both current and historical ATR Continuous Count data below that has been organized by year. Users can find station lists, location and analysis maps, AADT tables, qualification notes, highest hourly volume and monthly comparison reports, truck volume graphs, yearly continuous count recorder reports, and ATR hourly volume reports for every hour of the year.
