Delorme Street Atlas USA® Input Files
You will need Delorme Street Atlas USA® 5.0 or a later version to use these files. Versions 5.0 through 9.0
support input files of the OLD type, while versions 2006 and later support the NEW type. Once input, a
GPS handheld receiver may be attached to a laptop to navigate to these points. The new format files use flags of different colors to mark all points, while the old format files use various shapes and colors.
Delorme input files
Files are organized by county and include a NEW/OLD tag, a survey monument TYPE and a county georeference NUMBER:
Horizontal (Light Blue) NEW_HORZ_###.txt or OLD_HORZ_###.txt
Vertical (Blue) NEW_VERT_###.txt or OLD_VERT_###.txt
Horiz. + Vert. (Green) NEW_3DHV_###.txt or OLD_3DHV_###.txt
HARN (Red) NEW_HARN_###.txt or OLD_HARN_###.txt
Other (Dark Red) NEW_OTHR_###.txt or OLD_OTHR_###.txt
Unpositioned (Yellow) NEW_NONE_###.txt or OLD_NONE_###.txt
Where ### is a number from the County Georeference List

Instructions to input OLD files into Delorme Street Atlas USA® (Versions 5.0 through 9.0)
Once these files are downloaded, you can import them using the following procedure:
1) Start up Delorme Street Atlas USA® .
2) Click the FILE menu button.
3) Click Import Lat/Lon File - the Select Lat/Lon Import File dialog will open.
4) Browse to the path where the downloaded files are located.
5) Click a file to import and then click OPEN.
6) Repeat steps 2-5 for each file you would like to import.
Instructions to input NEW files into Delorme Street Atlas USA® (Version 2006 or later)
Once these files are downloaded, you can import them using the following procedure:
1) Start up Delorme Street Atlas USA® .
2) Click the DRAW tab, then FILE, and then IMPORT.
3) Browse to the path where the downloaded files are located.
4) Click a file to import and then click OPEN.
5) The imported file's contents will show as a separate draw layer, which can be toggled off or on.
6) Repeat steps 2-4 for each file you would like to import.
